Cristiano Ronaldo wins Serie A MVP 18/19

Cristiano Ronaldo is named MVP in Serie A for 2018-19, with Samir Handanovic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Fabio Quagliarella and Nicolò Zaniolo also rewarded.

The new season awards are handed out by the Lega Serie A, using calculations from Opta Sports and Netco Sports, put together by Ernst & Young.
These evaluations take into account Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Supercup performances.

This is to award players individually for their outstanding performances. The award is based on their season stats. The awards are for different categories. Most especially the positions the players take in their teams.

These awards also add to the players portfolio. It gives the players more worth. Besides, every player wants to be recognized and as well appreciated. So this awards does most of the task. But nevertheless, its given to those who merits it.

The awards are given at the end of every season in virtually every competition, mostly the leagues. The Serie A isn’t left out either as they have made platforms for that too. The awards are for the Most Valuable player (MVP) of the season.

There is a motivating award for the upcoming youngsters, recognized as the ‘Best young player of the season ‘. Its given to the most outstanding player among the young players of the league.

All these awards makes players strive for a very good performance on the pitch.

Inter captain Samir Handanovic will receive the award for Best Goalkeeper. He deserves it for his immense contribution and good performance for the season. He is also a favorite for the award as he makes it into the top ten best keepers in Europe.

Napoli man K. Koulibaly wins the award for the Best Defender. The 26 year old center back has proved a very big deal on the pitch for Napoli. He has the eyes of prominent clubs like Manchester United on him. He is a very hardworking defender with very nice defensive skills.

Lazio’s Milinkovic-Savic has arguably had a poor season by his usual standards, but still comes out on top, statistically as the Best Midfielder. It would look like the results are fake and you would take his supersiton as rather fake but he really made it there, based on stats.

Current Capocannoniere Federico Quagliarella of Sampdoria takes Best Striker thanks to his 26 Serie A goals. And he is possibly getting another award for the top scorer of the season if the season ends with the current stats. He is the best position of winning the award as his runner up CR7 is just 4 goals behind him.
