Gov. Akeredolu Claims Power Must Shift To The South-East As Tinubu’s Visit To The Afenifere Leaders

The governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu, has admitted that his state does not back the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for president in the next elections.

During Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidatevisit ,’s to the leaders of Afenifere to discuss his manifesto with them and potentially seek their blessings, the governor, who was being represented by the deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, made this declaration.

In addition to rejecting the existence of “obidients” in his state, Akeredolu stated that he is prepared to make his case and that authority needs to be transferred to the southwest.

The public’s responses to this assertion have been conflicted. It should be remembered that Tinubu and other political power players have been campaigning in different areas to persuade voters to support them in the next elections.

In my view, voters should cast their ballots based on qualifications rather than where a candidate is from.
