According to a news that was published by the Daily Trust Newspaper online yesterday evening, it was reported that Kola Abiola, who happens to be one of the presidential candidates for the forthcoming presidential election, has reacted to the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
While Abiola, was speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital yesterday, during the funeral service of a late Nigerian politician, Professor David Bamgbose, he said that the federal government of Nigeria, was not showing readiness to resolve the ongoing strike now.
Further talking, he said that two months before the forthcoming general elections, federal government will solve the ongoing strike so that, students can vote.
He said, “I am not worried. If they are ready to solve ASUU strike, they will solve it as soon as possible. Do not be surprised that two months to the election, they will solve it so that many of you can vote because you would have registered at home. Don’t worry about that.”
