Tanko Yinusa, the Chief spokesperson of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has revealed what his principal said after seeing the large landmass in the Northern part of the country.
Yinusa made the revelation while trying to clarify how their candidate will provide solutions to his popular mantra of ‘moving Nigeria from consumption to production.’
Speaking on Sunrise Daily on Channels TV, he said, “while our presidential candidate moved from Maiduguri on his way to Abuja, he noticed the area space. You know that Nigeria is occupied by a landmass of about 920sq km. And here, we are underutilized. So he said, the wealth of this country is in the hands of the Northern people because of the area space.
One state, Niger State can turn around the economy of this country. Let’s now domicile and change the narrative by producing, encouraging and empowering the teeming population in the North.
Making them to a productive use to empower our country and change the narrative. While they bring in goods to us, we will now be tripling what we take out of this country.”
