Sen. Dino Melaye Reacts As Crowd Ask Okowa To Step Down At The Presidential Town Hall, Ask For Atiku

At the time of this publication, Arise News and other news platforms are currently hosting an interview with the major presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party.

However, Bola Ahmed Tinubu failed to attend the event. He however sent his running mate. More so, Atiku Abubakar is also absent. He also sent his running mate, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the governor of Delta State to represent him.

As the event titled; Presidential Town Hall heats up, good number of Nigerians who are live at the venue are already demanding for the presence of the presidential candidates, saying that they need the presidential candidates who want to lead them, and not their running mates.

During the event, Atiku Abubakar’s running mate and representative at the event, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa wanted to speak, but Nigerians present at the event shunned him. They asked to sit down and step down at the event because he is not the presidential candidate whom the event is meant for. They said that they want Atiku, not Okowa.

However, Senator Dino Melaye who is president at the event currently; at the time of this publication stood on the ground that Okowa must speak. He angrily told them that if they don’t want Okowa to speak, they should go to their various houses to watch the event live.
