Shehu Sani Reveals What He Noticed In Abuja After FG Dismissed US, UK Warnings Of Potential Attacks

A few minutes ago, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Senator Shehu Sani came out on social media to reveal what he noticed in the country’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the wake of the decision taken by the Buhari regime to dismiss terror warnings from the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.

Recall that a few days ago, the US Embassy and the UK Consulate issued an Advisory on potential terrorist attacks in Abuja in the very near future. Apart from highlighting government institutions and large, private organizations in the FCT as potential targets, both countries have begun evacuating their non-emergency staff from Abuja and its environs.

In its response to the warnings, however, the Federal Government through the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, quickly dismissed the terror alerts as ‘unverified’, accusing both the US and UK of creating unnecessary panic through disinformation.

Reacting to the development via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Senator Shehu Sani disclosed that despite the government’s dismissal of the terror warnings, he has noticed a strong security presence within and around Abuja since the advisories were released. He went on to call for continuous vigilance from the security agencies and the Nigerian people because insurgents do not inform their victims of when they will strike.

He wrote; “Even though the FG dismissed the US security alert, I’ve noticed some increased security presence in the capital city. Terrorists don’t announce the date, place, and time they will strike. We must keep vigilance.”
