What Chris Ngige Said When He was Asked to Choose Between Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu in 2023

Ahead of the 2023 general polls, Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige, a former presidential aspirant under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the current Minister of Labour and Employment, has discussed his choice for a presidential candidate.

While appearing on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Friday evening, October 7th, 2022, the APC chieftain disclosed that the presidential candidates of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling APC, were his friends and that it was a difficult question to choose between both of them.

Instead of endorsing Peter Obi or Bola Tinubu, the former APC presidential aspirant concealed his preferred candidate from Nigerians as he said that he would reveal his choice in the ballot box in February 2023, adding that he wouldn’t tell Nigerians what he would do secretly.

His exact words were, “My choice would be in the ballot box… on the day of the ballot, I make my choice.” It’s a secret ballot. I shouldn’t tell Nigerians what I will do secretly.
