What Peter Obi said When Asked If He Would Have Handled The Train Attack Differently

The Arise TV hosted a Presidential town hall series between the front runners of the 2023 Presidential election. The Arise TV invited the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, alongside the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar. Arise TV also invited the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Rabiu Kwankwaso.

However, during the Presidential town hall series, Peter Obi was asked if he would have handled the train attack differently, in reply Peter Obi said that the train attack was a failure of intelligence. He also noted that Government’s action and communication were not swift, and that he would have acted swiftly, and would have remained in communication and shown consistent empathy.
