‘Wike Arrested My People Including My Wife And Remanded Them In Custody’ – Asari Dokubo

Asari Dokubo, a prominent Political activist of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria has accused the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike of controlling every system of government in his favor.

In a live video made by Dokubo this morning, he revealed how his wife and his men were remanded in prison while he was out of town. According to him, these men were just coming back from a rescue mission when the Nigeria Police arrested them and Wike ordered that they should be kept in Prison. Asari alleged that it was his intervention that made them release his people.

He said, ”Wike arrested my people including my wife, and remanded them in prison custody. They were arrested in Abia, they were coming from the battlefield after standing up to defend the lives and properties of people.

Out of respect for the police, they were taken and humiliated. No plea was taken and Wike ordered that they should be taken to Prison and the Nigeria Prison service accepted them. Finally, when I came, the people were released.”
